OSAA Captains Camp Registration Now Open!
Captains Camp is coming to you! We are working hard to bring leadership experiences across the state for current and aspiring captains. (Sept. 19-Summit HS, Sept. 20-Stanfield HS and Sept. 27-Glencoe HS)
Spirit Safety Course
The 2026-27 OSAA Spirit Safety Course is now available. Remember that all cheer and dance coaches must be fully certified, including Spirit Safety, prior to assuming coaching duties.
Associate Member School Update
If you have students participating from Associate Members, their school must be listed prior to participation.

OSAA Foundation Cross Country and Track & Field Grant
$15,000 is available for distribution this fall focusing on Cross Country programs. Deadline for Fall is September 11th.

Update Fall Coaches in Manage Staff
Please update your coach contact information on your school’s Manage Staff page ASAP so we can communicate with your school personnel throughout the fall. Remember all coaches (paid or volunteer) need to be added to the manage staff feature and fully certified by the first contest date.
OSAA Foundation Cross Country and Track & Field Grant
$15,000 is available for distribution this fall focusing on Cross Country programs. Deadline for Fall is September 11.

Concussion Management Software
The OSAA Foundation supports school initiatives when it comes to concussion management and prevention. ImPACT and SWAY are two software companies that support schools but there are others. Whichever program works best for a school is completely up to the school and school district. These two companies provide competitive pricing to help make concussion management affordable for schools.

Air Quality Guidelines
As wildfire season continues across the region, it’s important to review the OSAA’s updated Air Quality Guidelines. This board policy was recently amended by the Executive Board based on OHA’s new Oregon Air Quality Activity Guide for Children and Youth.
Heat Index Notifications
As temperatures rise during August, visit the Heat Index Calculator to determine if your practices need to be modified due to excessive heat. If you have an account through OSAA.org you can also subscribe to receive automatic alerts if the heat index in your area could reach a level requiring modifications that day.

This year’s Moratorium Week is set for July 26-August 1, 2026. Schools may request a shift in their Moratorium Week to another 7-day period this summer if they have conflicts. To request a shift, email Lauren Brownrigg, laurenb@osaa.org.
