The Athlete of the Week will be chosen based off of nominations. To nominate an athlete for consideration, please fill out the form below. The weekly deadline is Tuesday at noon.
Each winner of the Athlete of the Week award will receive letter of recognition from the OSAA Executive Director and an Athlete of the Week sling bag from Toyota and the OSAA. Winners will be announced weekly on the OSAA website and across OSAA social media platforms.

Jalen Atkins | Barlow | Boys Basketball | Jalen was a difference maker this week for the Bruins, leading them to 3 wins. He averaged 26.3 points per game, including a 41 point effort to help defeat defending state champion Tualatin 86-85 in OT. |

Allison Palluck | Cottage Grove | Wrestling | Allison pinned all 4 of her competitors to win the Perry Burlison Tournament. Allison then competed in the Coast Classic, pinning her way to the finals; where she pinned the defending champion to take 1st place. |

Taylor Pass | Knappa | Softball | Over 5 games this week, Taylor went 14/20 at bat, giving her 17 RBIs and 10 runs scored. The Loggers won 2 of their games with Taylor in the circle. |
Gabriel Coltman | Lincoln | Baseball | Gabriel helped the Cardinals win multiple games in the Coach Bob Invitational. He recorded 2 home runs including a grand slam, 10 RBIs and 5 runs, giving him a 0.600 batting average and an OPS of 1.967. |

Ashlyn Vey | South Umpqua | Softball | Ashlyn led the Lancers offense in their games this week. She had a batting average of .545, got 7 RBIs, a 2B, a 3B, stole 2 bases and hit 2 HRs. This now puts Ashlyn at 4 HRs for the season. |
Levi Hazes | Century | Baseball | Levi pitched a complete game shutout this week, accumulating 17 strikeouts and only allowing 1 hit. At the plate, Levi got 2BB, 1 run, 1 RBI and a 2B. Levi has an impressive average of 2.3 strikeouts per inning for the season so far. |
Noah Leary | Yoncalla | Boys Track & Field | Noah had a great performance in the Coquille Twilight meet this week. This was 13 shots ahead of second place. Her performance helped the Dragons take first as a team, sending them to the state tournament. |
Kaylyn Fildes | Crook County | Softball | This week, Kaylyn hit .636 with a 1.828 SLG and 2.530 OPS. Against Molalla, Kaylyn went 4-4 with three HRs and a 3B, giving her eight RBI. |
Kegan Fullerton | Waldport | Baseball | Kegan surrendered zero runs and only one hit against Siletz, while striking out 10 batters. On the mound, he has kept his opponents’ batting average to a .191. This season he has 21 RBI, bats .383, and has the only HR for the Irish. |
Christian Lyda | Banks | Baseball | Christian helped the Braves win three games this week from the mound. He pitched a complete game shutout, and then held his opponents to only three hits while striking out 11 batters in his other two appearances. |

She won this week by throwing 139’ 8” in Discus, 35’ 1” in Shot Put, and 141’ 7” in Javelin. Hallee was named the Field Athlete of the Year for Special District 2. |

Pharalynn Dickson | South Albany | Girls Track & Field | Pharalynn took first place in three 5A events at the state meet. She ran a time of 12.41 in the 100m, 25.12 in the 200m, and 56.92 in the 400m. Pharalynn scored 30 points individually and was the 5A Female Athlete of the Meet. |
Allyson Nordling | Oregon City | Softball | Allyson performed well this last week, leading her team to the championship game. She collected 3 2B, 2 HR, 4R, 13 RBI, and had a 1.800 OPS for the week. |
Jace Martin | Adrian | Boys Track & Field | Jace took first place in four events and broke three 1A state records this week. He set the new record at a time of 10.6 in the 100m, 21.88 in the 200m, and 49.8 in the 400m. He also won the 4x400m relay, and helped his team win back-to-back 1A State Championships. |
Ray Gerrard | North Douglas | Boys Track & Field | Ray defended his title, taking first place in the 1A Discus at the state meet. He also broke the 1A state record, throwing 171’ 8.25”. This was the best Discus throw in any classification at the State Championships. |
