Atkins finished with 43 points. Brayden Barron posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Mason Bierbrauer scored 13 points. RJ Barhoum scored 25 for the No. 17 Cavaliers, who never went away and had the margin in the single digits in the fourth quarter. Max Martinov added 17 for Clackamas. ... No. 2 Tualatin overwhelmed 18th-seeded South Salem 87-50 thanks to 29 points from Jemai Lake and 17 from Pat Vialva Jr. Tko Westbrook led the Saxons with 11 points. ... Defending state champ Central Catholic jumped out to a 19-point halftime lead over Grant, but had to withstand a furious rally from the Generals to earn a 70-64 victory. Trey Price scored 19 points, including a half-court shot to end the first half, as No. 4 West Linn pulled away in the second half to beat No. 13 Sherwood 72-58. Sherwood led 18-17 after one quarter, but Price’s long-range heave put the Lions up 37-29 at halftime and they never looked back. Kevin Benson chipped in with 15 points and Jalen Snook contributed 11. Brody Rygh (17 points), Avery Johnson (16) and Brady Hix (16) carried the scoring load for the Bowmen. ... Fifth-seeded Southridge hit a season high in points while No. 12 West Salem had its lowest output of the season as the Skyhawks won 96-37. Southridge fired in 18 3-pointers. Keenan Reckamp scored 25 points for the Skyhawks despite sitting out the final quarter. Elijah Thompson put up 16 points while Drew Groening his five 3-pointers to account for his 15. Jesuit built a 14-point lead in the first quarter and made it hold up, earning a road win at No. 6 Nelson 74-62. The Hawks fought back from down 24-10 to pull within two but the 11th-seeded Crusaders rebuilt the lead to 44-33 at half time. Jesuit led by as many as 18 in the third before Nelson got within six early in the fourth quarter but moved no closer. Ryan Fraser led Jesuit with 19 points, while Patrick Kilfoil and Joe Stimpson each posted 12. Braylon Gaines and Jaiden Pickett each had 22 for Nelson. ... No. 7 Westview eliminated reigning state runner-up Roosevelt 83-71 with a well-rounded offensive effort. It’s Westview’s first quarterfinals berth since 2017. James Kefgen poured in four 3-pointers and led the Wildcats with 21 points. Jason Grady scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as seven different Wildcats scored at least eight points. Westview led 23-11 after the first quarter and maintained a double-digit lead at the end of each quarter while never leading by more than 16. Syrius Owens scored 17 and Omar Eno had 15 for the 10th-seeded Roughridgers, who saw their 18-game winning streak snapped. All five Roosevelt starters scored in double figures. ... Top seed Caldera needed a huge rally in the second half to avoid a massive first-round upset, and the Wolfpack came through to beat No. 16 Crater 67-53. The underdog Comets outscored Caldera 26-10 in the second quarter to lead 35-19 at halftime. Crater still had a 48-44 advantage through three quarters, but the Wolfpack took over from there with a 23-5 fourth quarter. Jack Bents posted 20 points for Caldera. Will Jenson had 11. Benjamin Higginson put up 16 points for the Comets as the upset bid came up a bit short. ... No. 2 Thurston also avoided an upset, scoring the last seven points to edge past 15th-seeded Centennial 50-48. Lucas LaBounty’s 3-pointer with 1:14 left in the game proved to be the game-winner. The Eagles had a shot to tie at the buzzer that bounced off the rim. LaBounty compiled 19 points and eight rebounds for the Colts, while Nate Stiffler scored 15. The pair combined to go 13-for-22 from the field. Sincere Powe notched 17 points to lead the Eagles, who led 48-43 with less than four minutes remaining but did not score again. ...

Jaxon Lawson went off for 36 points as No. 14 Canby stunned third-seeded Redmond 82-58 in Central Oregon. The Cougars put the game away early, rocketing out to a 45-14 halftime advantage. Cooper Cousin, Dylan Nelson and Jack Brauckmiller each had 10 points for Canby. Wyatt Horner led the host Panthers with 18. ... Cole Hammack had a big-all around game with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals as No. 4 Wilsonville cruised past No. 13 Silverton 67-32. Emmitt Fee snagged 15 rebounds and Michael Radcliffe Jr. put up 11 points and seven boards for the Wildcats, who are seeking a ninth straight appearance in the state championship game. Bryce Lowenbach accounted for more than half of the Crook County offense, piling up 27 points. The Cowboys have won 12 games in a row. Narin Stone led the Mustangs with 17. ... Phoenix led 46-35 through three quarters. ... No. 8 Seaside rallied from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter to gut out a 38-34 win over No. 9 Philomath in a defensive battle. Jordan Westerholm buried a 3-pointer to put the Seagulls up five late and secure their 13th straight win after going 4-8 through their first 12 games. Barrett Blodgett scored 15 to lead Seaside, which outscored the Warriors 18-7 in the fourth quarter. Josiah Peters led Philomath with nine points.
