Highlights from Week 9 football games around the state on Thursday-Saturday:

6A

It was Viggo Anderson leading No. 1 West Linn again with 143 rushing yards and three TDs in the 49-14 rivalry win over Oregon City. QB Sloan Baker wasn’t too bad either with 267 passing yards and four TDs, two of them to Ashton Marquis. … No. 2 Lake Oswego threw the first punch and didn’t stop swinging in a 35-14 win over in-town rival No. 6 Lakeridge. LaMarcus Bell rushed for two TDs for the Lakers while QB Hudson Kurland threw for 84 yards and ran for 101 yards and one TD. … No. 3 Nelson wrapped up its first-ever Mt. Hood Conference title with 63-7 blowout of rival Clackamas. QB Danny Leary threw for 162 yards and four TDs while three different Hawks scored on the ground. 

Zeke Thomas helped power No. 4 Willamette to a 56-20 win over South Salem. The QB threw for 262 yards and four TDs while also rushing for 56 yards and one more score. Hunter Vaughn caught three passes, all TDs to rack up 134 yards and three scores, and also returned a kick 75 yards for a fourth score. Tony Cumberland added two sacks and two tackles for loss. … Cole Thomas had two kick-return TDs to power No. 5 Central Catholic to a 39-6 win over Sandy. … No. 7 Jesuit scored six times on the ground to take out Sunset 59-8. Luke Ortner ran for 217 yards and three of those TDs while QB Jack Wilson had 100 rushing yards and a score. Wilson also tossed two TDs, both to Joe Stimpson who finished with 111 receiving yards as well.

No. 8 Tualatin closed the regular season with a rivalry shutout over Tigard 36-0. Owen Hagerman led the offense with 171 passing yards and two TDs. Cole Hachmeister caught one of those TDs and also scored on the ground. … No. 9 Sherwood scored with 21.9 seconds left in the game and hit the PAT to win 27-26 over Newberg. Jack Wilson was everywhere with 204 yards rushing and three TDs, along with an interception on defense. But it was Jones Dickover with the final score, finishing with 50 yards rushing and the lone TD. … No. 10 Glencoe opened up the offense in a 48-6 win over McMinnville. RB Daniel Heninger still got his with 165 yards rushing and two TDs, but QB Nolan Wolfe also threw for 165 yards and three TDs. 

Geovoney Burks provided all the offense Roosevelt needed in a 20-10 win to secure the PIL title outright. The Idaho-commit ran for 176 yards and three TDs. … Franklin scored two early touchdowns and did just enough to keep McDaniel at bay in a 28-21 Lightning win. Cooper Haug rushed for two TDs for Franklin while Silas Combs had two passing TDs. Tre’Marion Crawford had 158 receiving yards and two TDs for the Mountain Lions. … Lincoln dominated in a 43-16 win over Cleveland. Greyson Murff and Zan Galton each ran for two TDs with Murff going for 90 yards. Murff also made a tackle for a safety on defense and Bodhi Knight had a 25-yard pick-six.

Liberty got a lead and held on to it down the stretch to down Century 45-32. Mekhi Perry ran for 180 yards and three TDs while QB Jaxson James tossed for two two TDs and 137 yards. … Westview had four turnovers to help power a 56-7 win over Southridge. On offense, Reid De La Cruz led the rushing game with 74 yards and two TDs, and QB Charlie Barton threw for 159 yards and two TDs. … South Medford dominated in the Black & Blue Bowl with a 30-0 victory over rival North Medford. Kellen Lefebvre had 236 rushing yards, and the Panthers as a whole had 289 yards. Lefebvre also scored three TDs 

Grants Pass turned on the jets in the second half to take down West Salem 31-28. Trailing 21-10 at the break, Weston Berg scored to start the third quarter, and then the Cavemen recovered a surprise onside kick. QB Jordan Rossetta hit Brevik Hill for their second scoring connection of the night to take the lead and the two paired up for a third score to make it 31-21 right before the fourth. … 6A North Salem bruised 5A Forest Grove on the ground in a 48-14 win. RB Jakai Phillips ran for 232 yards and five TDs to power North Salem.

5A

No. 1 Summit got the job done on the ground in a 47-0 win over Caldera. Jude Anderson ran for 107 yards and two TDs while QB Andrew Guthrie added 27 rushing yards and two scores. … Chase Dominguez was tossing TDs all night in a No. 2 Silverton 41-14 win over Corvallis. The QB threw for 146 yards and five TDs, and also ran for 80 yards and another score. Logan Uitto caught three of those TDs and had 71 yards while Sutton Kuenzi had two TD grabs and 29 yards. … No. 3 Mountain View had no problem with Bend in a 40-7 win. Ryder Carpenter rushed for 65 yards and two TDs and also caught a TD in the victory from QB Alex Toolan, who threw two and had 118 yards. Luke Wimmer had two sacks on defense.

It was nothing but No. 4 Wilsonville in a 70-0 win over McKay. QB Trevor Glos threw for 110 yards and four TDs while three different Wildcats scored on the ground. … Down 29-14 with 5:38 left in the game, No. 5 Lebanon rallied to pull out a 30-29 win over No. 6 Dallas and claim the Special District 3 league title. QB Brison Edwards threw his first TD of the game to Logan Large to cut the deficit to 29-22 with just under three minutes left. The Dragons were forced to punt quickly, and the Warriors stormed down the field quick and Edwards hit Zechariah Halsey for a TD. Lebanon went for two and got it on a run up the middle by Edwards with only 13 seconds left in the game.

No. 8 Ridgeview ran for 309 yards in a 57-14 blowout of Redmond. Four different Ravens scored a TD on the ground, but Ryden Nakamura was the leader in yards with 134. QB Gage Hobbs had one of those rushing yards along with 76 yards on the ground, 167 passing and three passing TDs, two of them to Logan Lee. … No. 9 West Albany had four first-half takeaways to dominate Central in a 40-14 Bulldogs win. Kaiden Scott and Tyson Walker hooked up for two TDs to help build the 40-0 lead and cruised from there in the second half. … Aloha closed the year with a 33-21 win over McNary. Aryel Garcia-Meraz had a big night rushing with 153 yards and three TDs to help turn a game tied at seven at the break into a comfortable Aloha win. QB Jason Kwasnik contributed 184 passing yards and a TD.

Liam Arnold led Gresham to a 34-16 win over La Salle Prep and a spot in the 5A playoffs. Arnold finished with 215 rushing yards and two TDs, and he also threw for one more score. Joshua Calderon had 188 rushing yards and two TDs for the Gophers as well. … Riley McConnell scored with 2:11 left in the game and Hillsboro’s defense held on to take out Canby 37-31 and earn a spot in the 5A playoffs. McConnell finished with two rushing TDs on the night along with 298 passing yards and two more scores. Most of that went to Dash Cureton who had 155 receiving yards and a score. Anthony Garcia led the defense with a sack and two forced fumbles that he also recovered. … Roseburg had four second-half takeaways to power a 35-14 win over Springfield. McLane Stedman caught a 76-yard pass and two interceptions on defense, one returned for a TD. 

4A

No. 2 Henley blew by Mazama 48-6. Hornets QB Joseph Janney threw for 223 yards and three TDs, all three of them to Julien Rayas, while four different Hornets scored on the ground. Derrick Cox led the rushing attack with 73 yards and a score. … No. 3 Scappoose cruised in a 40-0 win over Gladstone/Riverdale. Colton Smith rushed for 93 yards and two TDs, Elijah Greenan Biggs had two rushing TDs and QB Will Kessi threw a TD to Eli Holm. … Aden Camacho Garcia rushed his No. 4 Tillamook squad to a 25-12 win over Seaside. The junior ran for 167 yards and two TDs, meanwhile Griffyn Boomer had two rushing TDs to round out the scoring. 

No. 5 Marshfield took its rivalry matchup with North Bend with ease in a 41-15 victory. QB Enoch Niblett did a little bit of everything once again with 233 yards passing and two TDs, as well as 140 yards rushing and three more scores. Hadyn Widdicombe was the top target with 122 receiving yards and a TD. … No. 7 Stayton took out Ontario 55-0. QB Madden Hughes threw for 125 yards and three TDs while Wyatt Kerrigan led the ground game with 95 yards. Wyatt Fred had 53 rushing yards and a TD. … Junction City threw the first punch and hung on to pull off the upset of Marist Catholic and win the Special District 3 league title. Staton Barnes had a 55-yard TD run on the Tigers’ first possession, and a 32-yard Carter Franks TD run made it 17-3 JC late in the third quarter where the Spartans couldn’t come back.

Astoria ran through St. Helens in a 42-0 win. Silas Yates had 201 yards on the ground with two TDs while Jack Johnson was right behind with 165 yards and two scores. Sam Schacher also had two rushing TDs and chipped in 47 yards. … Quin Wellman threw five TDs to help Baker take down The Dalles 49-7. Two of those scores went to Ryder Nimmo, who also blocked a punt that went through the back of the end zone for Bulldogs’ safety. 

3A

No. 1 Cascade Christian smoked Lakeview 77-6. The Challengers scored six touchdowns on the ground with two from Bryson Walker who finished with 84 rushing yards. Mikey Covey had a kickoff return TD to go along with a rushing score, and Caleb Scaglione had a punt return TD. … It was Jarrett Martin and Henry White again for No. 2 Banks in a 42-7 win over Warrenton. Martin had five catches for 102 yards and two TDs, and White did his work on the ground with 145 yards and a TD. Nate Lyda threw for 164 yards and three TDs. … No. 3 Vale ran for 368 yards as a team to take down Umatilla 54-6. Rye Cummings had 64 yards and two TDs while the leading rusher was Collin Mulvany with 70 yards. Maddox Hartley had a 58-yard punt return TD.

No. 4 Dayton couldn’t be stopped on the ground, running for 302 yards in a 42-8 win over Amity. Five different Pirates scored a TD with Asher Maxwell leading the way in yardage with 87. … No. 5 Burns rolled over Nyssa in a 54-6 win. QB Jack Wright returned and threw for 238 yards and four TDs, most of that going to Coltin Miller who had 148 receiving yards and three TDs. RB Tommy Winn had a big night on the ground as well, rushing for 157 yards with three TDs, and he caught the fourth TD pass from Wright. … No. 7 North Valley ran for 303 yards and took out Klamath Union 44-14. Wyatt Bell led in yardage with 137 and a score, meanwhile Gabe Dahlberg had 103 yards and three TDs. Max Freedman led on defense with three interceptions.

No. 7 Kennedy closed the season with a big win over Valley Catholic, 40-14. Colby Rich ran free for 152 rushing yards and three TDs and QB Brody Panuke threw for 125 yards and two TDs. … No. 9 Santiam Christian exploded in the second half to take down No. 9 Taft 38-8. The game was 3-0 SC at halftime. QB Brendan Fitzpatrick got the Eagles rolling and finished with 157 passing yards and three TDs. On the ground, Steen Smith kept it going with 125 yards and two scores. … Yamhill-Carlton scored twice in the final minute of the first half to move ahead and stay there in a 26-7 win over North Marion. Tyler Pond led the way on offense with 138 yards and caught one TD. QB Jack Mitchell had 152 yards passing with three TDs.

Sutherlin hung on to defeat South Umpqua 40-33. The dynamic RB duo of Tucker Mack and Eden Cardoza were back, Mack going for 133 rushing yards and a TD and Cardoza going for 213 and two TDs. … Ryder Sawyer had a field day in Douglas’ 35-14 win over Brookings-Harbor. The QB threw for 255 yards and five TDs, and also ran for 72 yards. Jaden Burkhart was the leading rusher still with 110 yards, and Reese Willis was the top receiving target with 130 yards and three TDs.

2A

No. 1 Heppner scored 44 first-half points to ultimately pick up a 56-0 win over Grant Union. Alakae Rodriguez led the offense with 110 rushing yards and two TDs, meanwhile Tripp Stewart added two rushing TDs and an interception on defense. … Cody Robison brought the hammer in No. 3 Bandon’s 56-18 win over No. 10 Oakland. The senior made 12 tackles on defense and also rushed for 204 yards and five TDs on offense. … It was all No. 5 St. Paul in a 61-0 win over Regis. QB Noah Hackett was one of six different Buckaroos to score a rushing TD with the QB scoring two of them and also throwing for one more. Hackett also recovered a fumble in the end zone for another score.

No. 6 Clatskanie grinded out an 18-6 win over Nestucca to finish the season unbeaten. QB Will VanVoorst threw for 63 yards and also ran for 48 yards and two TDs. Lucas Andreasen added 116 rushing yards with a score. … Irrigon won a shootout with Monroe 72-58. QB Colton Akers ran for 283 yards and three TDs and also threw for 64 yards and another score. Akers also ran back an 80-yard kickoff return TD. He wasn’t alone as Edgar Valdes ran for 235 yards and two TDs, helping Irrigon rack up 777 total yards.

Nolan Timeus ran for eight touchdowns in a 62-60 Gold Beach win over Glide. The eight rushing TDs are the second most ever in Oregon 9-man football history, and the Panthers needed every last one of them to survive Glide. … Weston-McEwen was powered by Jace Dunlap in a 46-33 win over Riverside. The RB ran for 150 yards and four TDs, meanwhile Colby Perkins added 75 rushing yards and two more scores.

1A 8-man

No. 1 Adrian put No. 3 Union away in the second half after leading 14-0 at the break, winning the night 38-0. QB Trey Bayes ran for 110 yards and two TDs and had an interception on defense. Kash Morford ran for 120 yards and a TD, and Mannie Mulrony found the end zone twice. … No. 4 Imbler closed the regular season with a 65-6 win over Pilot Rock/Ukiah. Carson Yancey scored three times on the ground and had a pick-six on defense. Ben Herron also had a pick-six while Forrest Tyrrell had one rushing and one receiving TD. … No. 5 Crosspoint Christian held Camas Valley to only 89 yards in a 46-8 win. Isaac Root rushed for 149 yards and two TDs and led in tackles with Chris Kelly. Casey Breazeale recovered a fumble and scored on it.

No. 6 Elgin is back in the playoffs and hosting after beating Echo 50-14. Hunter Myers ran for 132 yards and a TD, and he also threw for 136 yards and three more scores. Kyler Perkins found the end zone twice on runs and also caught a TD pass. … No. 8 North Douglas avenged a league loss earlier in the season to No. 7 Perrydale by taking the rematch 42-36. Jaycen Marois rushed for 233 yards and three TDs, part of 445 total rushing yards for the Warriors. Easton Mast had the other big chunk with 194 yards and two TDs. … Riddle defeated Glendale 40-20 to earn the Irish’s first postseason berth since 1995. Riddle turned up the heat in the second half with Isaiah Ibrahim scoring two of his three TDs in the final 24 minutes, and Jonathan Harp scored twice in the fourth quarter to help seal the win, one rushing TD and a 51-yard pick-six.

1A 6-man

No. 2 Triangle Lake took care of Falls City 34-0. QB Owen Mooney had a modest 195 passing yards with three TDs, two of them going to Ivan Surcamp who also had a 95-yard pick-six. Zayd Zuniga-West added 109 rushing yards with one rushing TD and one receiving. … Crow pulled off an upset in shootout fashion, taking out No. 9 Powers 58-51. Cayden Hernandez was the offensive weapon of choice with 233 rushing yards and four TDs, and he also added two kick-return TDs and a receiving score. 

No. 6 Elkton cruised to a 40-6 win over McKenzie. Devlin Harper ran for 118 yards and two TDs while QB Carson Peters threw for 165 yards and three more TDs. Alex Holloway got the defense in on the scoring with a fumble-return TD, and he also forced a fumble and had a sack.
