Highlights from Week 5 football games around the state on Thursday-Saturday:

Oregon City forced a turnover and scored first, but then it was all No. 1 Lake Oswego in a 48-12 Lakers win. LO scored the next five touchdowns, four of them being from QB Ryder Lemm who finished with 243 passing yards and those four scores. Cole Callahan also had 88 rushing yards and two TDs.
No. 2 Nelson didn’t leave this week’s game down to the final seconds in a 50-7 win over Barlow. QB Braylon Gaines had 292 passing yards and three TDs while Kevin Cohen found the end zone twice on the ground.
No. 4 West Linn opened up Three Rivers League play with a 42-14 win on the road over No. 3 Tualatin. QB Sloan Baker threw for 305 yards and two TDs, along with rushing for two more scores. The defense forced five turnovers, highlighted by Shane Peters who had an interception and two fumble recoveries.
No. 8 Sheldon scored on a Ryker Rohaley to Cam Thomas 23-yard TD with 45 seconds left in the game to down No. 5 Grants Pass 27-20. Rohaley finished with four passing TDs, two to Thomas and the other two to Barry Myles. Cody Hall rushed for 112 yards.
No. 6 Willamette shutout North Medford 28-0 for a third consecutive win. QB Zeke Thomas threw three TDs, two of them going to Sterlin Holland, and Derek Earl had an interception to end the Black Tornado’s lone red zone drive.
No. 7 Lakeridge slowed the offense down of Tigard in a 40-19 Pacers win. A big reason for that was three sacks from Ben Pack, along with six total turnovers, two of which were fumble recoveries by Austin Callaway.
No. 9 Jesuit’s defense pitched a shutout in a 42-0 win over Southridge. On offense, QB Jack Wilson tossed three TDs, two to Kyle Goodwin, while Luke Ortner had 130 rushing yards and one TD.
SeAun Davis and Elliott Mahoney each had a pick-six in the first quarter as No. 10 Ida B. Wells rolled 35-0 over Jefferson PDX. Davis also had a rushing TD alongside Oliver Hamzaoui and a passing TD from Jude Nolan to Kannon Walter.
Westview pulled off the upset of No. 10 Mountainside with a 10-7 win. RB Reid De La Cruz was the catalyst on offense with 139 rushing yards and the lone TD of the game for the Wildcats.
Auden Rose ran for two TDs and threw for one more to help Lincoln take out Roosevelt 41-8. Antayus Wilkins had 132 rushing yards with a TD as well, meanwhile Leonardo Correani had 12 total tackles and an interception.
McDaniel picked up its first win of the season with a 36-14 victory over Benson. Yashawn Johnson had a pick-six while Marion Walker and Thomas Redeau each caught a TD.
JaCory Jackson was unstoppable in a 50-0 win for Grant over Cleveland. The RB making his first career varsity start had 177 rushing yards and three TDs. QB Gage Creasy tossed three TDs as well and Jamarea Sanders had a 96-yard pick-six to close the game.
Century ran for 227 yards and snuck out a 25-17 win over Newberg despite 245 passing yards and two TDs from Tigers QB Kamden Raever.
Glencoe controlled the game with McMinnville en route to a 33-7 win. Abraham Castro had 155 rushing yards and two TDs.
Central Catholic is in the win column with a 42-12 win over Clackamas to start Mt. Hood Conference play. Armani Tonga and Summit Grant each had two rushing TDs while Kody Grant hit Kaden Bozovich for two more TDs.
Sprague came up with four interceptions to power a 31-14 win over West Salem. Julian Lutz came away with two of the picks, meanwhile on offense, Camden Buchheit ran for 97 yards and two TDs.
Air Saxon keeps piling up points as South Salem took home the Mayor’s Cup in a 51-35 win over North Salem. QB Kellen Bowman had 455 passing yards and seven TDs on the night, 258 yards and three of those scores going to Ben Greer.
Sherwood stayed at arms length in a 41-28 win over South Medford. QB Kai Boatsman hit Mikey Brandt for two TDs.
For the second consecutive week, Jamari Cade had a defensive TD for Franklin as the Lightning went on the road and took down McNary 20-14. Cade had a pick-six as well as receiving TD against the Celtics, and LaQuanete James had the other score on the ground.

No. 1 Silverton was quick and efficient in a 35-0 win over Lebanon, which was the score at halftime. QB Quenton Lake had two TD passes and one rushing to lead the offense meanwhile reigning 5A Defensive Player of the Year Lincoln Teeney returned to action as well.
When No. 2 Summit needed points most, the Storm went to the ground game and pulled out a 14-13 win over No. 3 Ridgeview. Clay Johnson scored the winning TD on the ground with 5:50 left in the game, finishing his night with 192 rushing yards and both scores for the Storm.
No. 4 Wilsonville blew out Hillsboro 42-0. QB Trevor Glos threw for 272 yards and five TDs, two apiece to LJ Leland and Luke Brainard, the latter of which also had a sack on defense.
No. 5 West Albany pulled away in the second half to beat No. 7 Dallas 41-21 in a high-stakes game in the 5A Mid-Willamette Conference. Bulldogs RB Godfrey Conn rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries and senior quarterback Beau Harvey ran for 93 yards and two scores.
Ryder Carpenter scored four times to help No. 6 Mountain View blank Crook County 42-0. Carpenter had 119 rushing and three TDs, and caught one TD as well. QB Liam Wheir finished with 215 passing yards and two TDs.
After trailing 17-12 in the fourth quarter, No. 9 Roseburg rallied to take home the 24-17 win over Eagle Point. Leto White ran for a TD to start the fourth and an 18-17 lead, then RJ Elliott hit Danner Wertz for the final score and a 24-17 win. White had 169 and two TDs to power the 287 total rushing yards Roseburg had.
No. 10 Canby picked up a solid win over Liberty 35-14. Brody Joyce had two passing TDs while Owen Hudson had 97 yards on the ground and two more scores.
Trey Lawrence scored seven touchdowns to help Bend take out previously unbeaten 6A Reynolds 55-49. Lawrence had 348 rushing yards as well.
Caldera ran through Redmond for a 60-29 win. RB Waylon Clarke was back to doing his thing with 296 rushing yards and five TDs. Preston Green also tossed a TD to Lucas Ninneman who had 110 receiving yards. Zander Rogers had three sacks on defense.
Outside of a pick-six, Gresham got the job done in a 36-8 win over David Douglas. QB Owen Olson had an up and down night with 198 passing yards, two TDs and three rushing TDs, but he did have three INTs. Idris and Hezekiah Schab each had two interceptions of their own to get the ball back.
Sandy began league play with a 36-12 win over Hood River Valley. Micaiah Turin tossed three TDs while Gracyn Fitch was everywhere with 150 rushing yards, two rushing TDs, one receiving TD and 11.5 tackles on defense.
Putnam keeps winning, this time 26-6 over McKay. QB Cooper Lemen had 274 passing yards and a TD to Keoki Kennedy. Dean Kost led in receiving though with 115 yards and he also had two interceptions on defense. Utah Cunningham had 156 rushing yards and a TD.
Trailing 28-26 going into the fourth quarter, Aloha scored twice to move ahead of Forest Grove and hung on for the 39-36 win. Jason Kwasnik hit Cayden Dunne for a TD, followed by a TD run from Alexis Hernandez Diaz to put the Warriors up 39-28. The Vikings responded with an 11-yard TD from Adler Case to Parker Vandehey, but couldn’t get back into scoring range.
Ryder Nagel was a force once more in a 46-19 Churchill win over Springfield. Nagel had 232 rushing yards with four TDs, and he added in a pick-six on defense to find paydirt five times on the night.
La Salle Prep took care of business in a 53-6 win over Centennial. Drake Benner had 171 rushing yards and 2 TDs while Jack Schweitzer found the end zone three times on runs. Ben Weber came up with two blocked punts.
4A
No. 1 Cascade scored five times in the second quarter and eight in the first half alone to cruise to a 68-0 win over Philomath. Wyatt Kerrigan scored twice on the ground, Madden Hughes hit Brody Anundi twice for passing TDs and Andrew Moore scored on a fumble recovery and a rushing TD.
No. 6 Henley hung around in the first half with No. 2 Cascade Christian, but the Challengers controlled the second half to win 35-6. Bryson Walker ran for 215 yards plus a first-half score and Jacoby Gettman had 167 passing yards and four TDs, two going to Seth Scaglione in the second half.
It was one-sided in a No. 4 Scappoose 50-6 win over Seaside. QB Will Kessi threw for 206 yards and four TDs, two of them to Canyon Sprenger. Elijah Greenan Biggs was back with 124 rushing yards and a TD.
No. 5 Estacada had three non-offensive TDs in the first quarter en route to a 71-0 win over Gladstone/Riverdale. Thomas Classen blocked a punt that turned into an Ashton Randall TD on the recovery, Hank Wheeler ran back a punt return and Finlay Pelton ran back a fumble recovery.
No. 8 Central/Kings Valley Charter cruised by Molalla 42-0. Hunter Holestine tossed three TDs and Tyler Olafson caught two of them.
Brody Gilliam to Tripp Murphy was automatic in a 48-9 win for No. 9 Marist Catholic over Marshfield. Murphy had 109 receiving yards with three TDs while Gilliam finished with 253 passing yards and four scores. Murphy also had a pick-six, as did Aidan Miller.
No. 10 Baker took to the ground to down The Dalles 47-20. Colton Luschen had 139 rushing yards with three TDs, along with 10 tackles and an interception on defense. Ambrose Rexroad also found the end zone three times and QB Quin Wellman threw for 253 yards and a TD.
Tillamook pulled out the win over Taft with a 35-34 final. Aden Camacho Garcia continued his hot streak with 209 yards rushing and two TDs, meanwhile QB Kevin Hurliman had 171 passing yards and two TDs, most of the yards going to Carson Remington who had 123.
Mazama trailed at halftime but rallied back to win 40-28 over Hidden Valley. Brody Mahon ran for 234 yards and three TDs while Kellan Lee had two TD passes and one rushing score.

No. 2 Burns held Umatilla to 54 yards of offense as the Hilanders blanked the Vikings 61-0.
No. 3 Klamath Union is 5-0 for the first time since 2004 after taking out Madras 35-0. QB Reese Johnson threw for 206 yards and three TDs while Henry Fore continued to do it all with 143 receiving yards and two TDs, plus a 51-yard punt return score. Johnson is now the all-time passing yards and passing TDs leader for KU with 4,803 yards and 54 TDs for his career, besting John Amos’ marks of 4,100 and 43.
The combo of Chase Herrera and Braxton Henager is tough to stop as Gervais found out in a 47-6 Eagles win. Herrera had two rushing TDs and an 80-yard kickoff return, meanwhile Henager rushed for 159 yards and three TDs. Harrisburg had four interceptions on defense too, two going to Paxton Spike.
A big second quarter coupled with a second-half shutout powered No. 5 Kennedy to a 42-12 win over Salem Academy. The Trojans scored three times in the second, two of them being part of Jaden Traeger’s five-rushing-TDs night. He also had 243 rushing yards and two two-point conversions.
Six different players scored offensive TDs for Sutherlin in a 63-8 win over Coquille. Collin Ganger caught and rushed in a score while QB Braxton Gary had 191 passing yards and three TDs.
Dylan Ballard scored five times in the first half alone in a No. 10 Warrenton 49-21 win over Dayton. The QB tossed four TDs and rushed for one more, and he had two interceptions on defense to pace Warrenton.
Pleasant Hill beat Creswell 41-6 behind Kai Davis, who had 132 rushing yards and four TDs. Logan Melvin caught two TDs from Wylie Blake.
McLoughlin scored before halftime to trail 21-7, but couldn’t keep the rally going as Nyssa ran away with 41-14 behind dominant physical play at the line of scrimmage.
2A
No. 2 Culver ran behind Kapp Novelli in a 40-14 win over No. 6 Lost River. The RB had 290 rushing yards and three TDs to pace the offense, plus Kaden Torres had 106 rushing yards and a TD. Noah Cory also had two rushing TDs.
After both sides scored 22 points in the first quarter, No. 4 St. Paul took over and took out No. 8 Colton 68-28. The Buckaroos scored 30 more points in the second frame to take a 50-22 lead at halftime. Bricen Britton had 147 rushing yards and three TDs while QB Jack Gregory ran for two scores and had one passing TD. JJ Hempfling caught the TD pass and had an interception on defense.
No. 5 Glide picked up its first league win in two years with a 35-0 blanking of Gold Beach. QB Thomas Viaene had 205 passing yards with a TD while Colt Skinner had 101 rushing yards and a TD. Leo Neidermaier and Elijah Price each had interceptions.
No. 9 Santiam took down Sheridan 71-6. Ace Aerni had 149 passing yards with two TDs, Carson Childress ran for 87 yards and three TDs, Issac Martinez had 124 receiving yards with two TDs as well as a 37-yard punt return TD, and Kellen Crofoot had a 67-yard pick-six.
A week after having to forfeit a game due to low numbers, Jefferson came back and took down Regis 46-41, the Lions first varsity win since 2024. Keaton Khan scored on the game-winner on a long run with two minutes left in the game and finished with 134 yards and two TDs. QB Tyson Grizzel-Ortiz had 208 passing yards and four TD, two to Caleb Cooper.
Nate Cameron led Enterprise to a 22-16 win over Weston-McEwen. The RB had 200 rushing yards and three TDs.
Rainier ran over 1A 8-man opponent Sherman in a 44-22 win. Jayden Quevido had a quiet night, only rushing for 132 yards and two TDs this week. Brighton Richardson was right behind with 102 yards and TDs and Asher Fox had 96 yards and a score.
1A 8-man
No. 1 Adrian rolls on, this time with a 52-14 win over Powder Valley. Kash Morford went for 127 yards on the ground with two TDs while Marcus Nunez also found the end zone twice. Morford also had a pick-six on defense and a fumble recovery, and Weston Bayes had two turnovers.
No. 4 North Douglas turned back No. 9 Mohawk 52-18. Easton Mast had three rushing TDs and Brogan Luke ran for 138 yards to lead the offense.
No. 5 Crosspoint Christian dominated in a 44-6 win over Chiloquin. Trey Johnston had three receiving TDs while Isaac Root scored twice on the ground and had 10 tackles on defense.
No. 5 Perrydale shutout No. 7 Camas Valley in a 44-0 win. Landon Eichler was everywhere with 66 rushing yards and two TDs, along with 11 tackles, one pick-six, one fumble recovery, a tackle on a safety and a kick return TD. Broden Ferguson wasn’t bad either with 219 rushing yards and two TDs.
Bonanza RB Larry Hernandez rushed for 130 yards but it wasn’t enough against Glendale as it won 34-6.
Elgin survived in overtime with a 50-44 win over Joseph. QB Ely Murphey continues to light it up with 420 passing yards and six more TDs. Britton Parks had 163 those yards and three TDs while Waylon McClure had 182 receiving yards and the other three scores, the last one being the difference maker in OT.
Seven different players found paydirt in an Echo 66-16 win over Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat. Brayden Cortaberria did it three times with a punt-return TD, a rushing TD and a receiving TD. Elden Miller threw two TDs and rushed for a third.
QB Matthew Blake spread the ball around in Cove’s 58-28 win over Pine Eagle. Blake tossed three TDs to three different receivers, one being Parker Holder who also had 53 rushing yards and another TD, and a pick on defense. Jonah Jayne ran for 111 yards and a TD and had an INT on defense.
Pilot Rock/Ukiah couldn’t get the offense going, finishing with less than 100 yards, in a 24-2 loss to Mabton (WA). Tucker Holton made the tackle in the end zone for the Rockets’ lone safety.
1A 6-man
No. 2 Elkton stayed unbeaten with a 60-0 win over Gilchrist. The Elks had two pick-sixes, one by Carson Peters and the other by Louis Hudson. Peters also threw for 196 yards and four TDs, two of them going to Levi Rausch.
After falling behind 21-20 in the fourth quarter, No. 8 Days Creek scored on an Izaac Hartzell to Liam James 15-yard TD for the game-winner over previously unbeaten No. 3 North Lake. Quintin Halstead had 72 receiving yards with two TDs and also had a fumble recovery returned for a TD.
No. 6 Griswold came ready to roll in a 70-25 win over South Wasco County. Lyle Peck had 289 rushing yards and six TDs while Kaiden Matye had 124 rushing yards and two TDs, as well as 162 passing yards and two more scores. Ethan Harlow had 15 tackles on defense and Cameron Makin had two sacks.
No. 7 Dayville/Monument/Long Creek had no problem in a 53-0 win over No. 10 Wallowa. QB Josh Thomas threw for 272 yards and five TDs while rushing for one more score. All five TD passes went to a different receiver, meanwhile Thomas had a sack on defense and Parker Grassl had an interception.
