Important Reminders for 2023-24 School Year
Please note these important reminders for 2023-24 and pass along to the appropriate people in your school/district.

Event Management and Ticket Report Form
The online forms are easier than ever for schools to use. See link for step by step instructions.

2023 Football Player Safety Coach (PSC) Clinic Schedule
Schedule and sites for the 2023 PSC Clinics are posted. Remember this certification is good for 2 years. If your school already has a certified up-to-date Player Safety Coach, you do not need to attend this training this year, all you would need to do is take the NFHS Football Tackling course, on top of the other annual required courses. If your school is not sure of your PSC status, the 2022 attendees and the 2023 attendees thus far have been posted.

All Varsity Participants are Eligible for Moda Health Scholarships
For over a decade, Moda Health has recognized the Player of the Game / Athlete of the Meet during OSAA State Championships across numerous activities. Continuing the practice from last year, all 2022-2023 Varsity participants are eligible to apply. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Applications are due Saturday, June 24th.

Scholar Athlete / Activity Scholar Certificates
The Scholar Program recognizes graduating seniors who have achieved a 3.50 or higher unweighted cumulative GPA and earned a varsity letter in an OSAA-sanctioned sport or competed in an OSAA-sanctioned activity. Access is limited to OSAA website user accounts with school administrative access (ADs, Athletic Secretaries, Principals, etc.)

$5,000 is available for distribution this Spring focusing on Track & Field programs. Deadline for Spring is March 6.

Winter Varsity Coaches, nominate the Most Valuable Teammate (MVT) of your team!
The Most Valuable Teammate program has been created through a new partnership between the OSAA and the Oregon Army National Guard. Every varsity coach across OSAA member schools will be asked to identify the Most Valuable Teammate (MVT) of their team. Each MVT will receive a commemorative co-branded item that celebrates this honor. All MVTs selected by all coaches will have the opportunity to apply for one of three $1,000 college scholarships (one per season). Of all MVTs identified by coaches, one will be selected and recognized for each activity. Submit your MVT!

Guest Coach & Alumni Reminder
Guest coaches are limited to three coaching visits during a single sports season and cannot coach in competitions nor participate in scrimmages or drills during practice. Alumni must be approved coaches from the beginning of the season in order to practice with your team. It is a circumvention of the rule and a violation to have alumni approved as coaches only during the time they are home for a vacation/break.
