Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

32-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – 21 teams automatically qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on regular season and/or district tournament play on or before Friday, February 28. Each league determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

      PIL – 3; Metro – 3; Pacific - 3; Mt. Hood – 3; Three Rivers – 3; Central Valley – 3; Southwest – 3

      PIL Jefferson, Benson, Grant
      Metro - Southridge, Beaverton, Jesuit
      Pacific - McMinnville, Century, Forest Grove
      Mt. Hood - Clackamas, Nelson, Barlow
      Three Rivers - Tualatin, West Linn, Oregon City
      Central Valley - South Salem, West Salem, Sprague
      Southwest - Willamette, South Medford, Grants Pass

  2. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Friday, February 28.

  3. At-Large Qualifiers – 11 additional teams qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic league qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.

      At-Large #2 - Mountainside
      At-Large #3 - Lincoln
      At-Large #4 - Sheldon
      At-Large #5 - Central Catholic
      At-Large #6 - Lake Oswego
      At-Large #7 - North Medford
      At-Large #8 - Newberg
      At-Large #9 - Liberty
      At-Large #10 - Sherwood
      At-Large #11 - Cleveland

  4. Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
