Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

6A Girls Basketball

32-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – 21 teams automatically qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on regular season and/or district tournament play on or before Saturday, February 28. Each league determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

      PIL – 3; Metro – 3; Pacific - 3; Mt. Hood – 3; Three Rivers – 3; Central Valley – 3; Southwest – 3

      PIL - Benson, Lincoln, Grant
      Metro - Southridge, Jesuit, Beaverton
      Pacific - Sherwood, Century, McMinnville
      Mt. Hood - Nelson, Clackamas, Barlow
      Three Rivers - Tualatin, West Linn, Oregon City
      Central Valley - West Salem, South Salem, Sprague
      Southwest - South Medford, Grants Pass, Sheldon

  2. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at the conclusion of all contests on Saturday, February 28.

  3. At-Large Qualifiers – 11 additional teams qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic league qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.


      At-Large #1 - Lake Oswego
      At-Large #2 - Mountainside
      At-Large #3 - Lakeridge
      At-Large #4 - Central Catholic
      At-Large #5 - Cleveland
      At-Large #6 - Roseburg
      At-Large #7 - Ida B. Wells
      At-Large #8 - Newberg
      At-Large #9 - Westview
      At-Large #10 - Jefferson
      At-Large #11 - Forest Grove

  4. Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
